Bobby & Dandy Vintage specialises in hand- picked vintage clothing with particular emphasis on original items from the 1940s, 1950s & 1960s, vintage French workwear and vintage American clothing.
It was a finalist for the Natwest Venus Awards 'Best Small Business' and is often listed as one of the best vintage retailers in East Sussex. We have also been featured in Condé Nast magazine 'Insider Guide' and Time Out, featured in Best of England Travel Guide, The Telegraph, on the BBC and Channel 4's French Collection.
Our pieces are frequently sourced for use in film, theatre and television and have recently been worn in the award winning series, 'Sex Education'.
Each item is hand-picked, not bought in bulk like many other vintage outlets. We aim to stock unique, high quality pieces, paying particular attention to style, cut, print and condition.
Our timeless menswear and womenswear pieces can be worn by the vintage enthusiast or incorporated into the style of a modern dresser.
After over a decade in Hove, Bobby & Dandy is now located in a Grade II listed building in historic Old Town, Hastings.
Donna Grimaldi began selling vintage clothing in 2006, online, at fairs and having concessions within shops in Brighton's North Laine. From 2012- 2022, she was proprietor of Bobby & Dandy Vintage Store, a bricks and mortar shop in Hove and, in February 2023, opened Bobby & Dandy in Old Town Hastings.
She has been passionate about vintage clothing for two decades with experience as a pattern cutter, circus showgirl, costumier, dresser and 1950s style model.
