True Vintage 1940s/50s Mexican Tourist Jacket

By Arte Azteca.

Very beautiful vintage jacket.

A more unusual style of Mexican tourist jacket as it is half- lined (including sleeves) which gives it a little more weight and has additional pin tuck detail at shoulders.

Fashioned in all wool, featuring fabulous colourful, hand embroidered designs including cacti, horse shoes, sombreros, man and woman on reverse.

It is finished off with wool stitching weave around the edges of collar, pockets and front. It has patch pockets at hips and small collar, also hand embroidered.

A red hue, the most popular in these jackets and the perfect addition to a vintage wardrobe!

This jacket is in good condition. There is pilling to wool throughout and can see felt edge to collar.

Quite a good size compared to most vintage Mexican tourist jackets I find. I estimate that it would best fit a M size but please check measurements given:

Pit to pit 20”

Shoulder to Shoulder 16”

Length 25”

Sleeve 23”
